First Dental Visit
Transforming your child's first dental visit into a positive and enjoyable experience is entirely possible. Provided they are of suitable age, it's beneficial to explain the purpose of the visit to your child beforehand. Assure them that our pediatric dentist and her team will be walking them through every step of the process, whether it's cavity checks, tooth extraction, wisdom teeth screening, or more, and will be available to answer any concerns they might have. The less fuss made about the visit usually results in a smoother experience.
We encourage you to accompany your child during their first check-up. For subsequent appointments, though, we find that allowing your child to experience our dental services with our staff creates a more effective rapport. Our objective is to build your child’s trust and alleviate any fears they might have. Of course, if you prefer, you're always welcome to be with your child in the treatment room. To ensure the safety and privacy of all our patients, we kindly request that any additional children, not receiving treatment, stay in the waiting area with an adult caretaker.
